Oracle's recommendation for partitioning larger standard EBS - AP Tables

What is Oracle's recommendation regarding the use of partitioning for larger standard AP tables?

Since he standard AP Resource Management (e.g. Purging) does not have a facility to archive data, what are alternatives to be considered with a view to improving performance when accessing larger tables such as

AP_INVOICES_ALL

AP_INVOICE_LINES_ALL

AP_INVOICE_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL

AP_INVOICE_PAYMENTS_ALL

Are there other options to be considered?

Delete/purge this data is not an option due to statutory/legislative requirements to keep the data.
