11.2.0.3 ORA-04030: out of process memory (initSubHeap:qk,travElemP:qkspmTravCreate) errors

Hello,

For the past couple of days we're receiving ORA-04030: out of process memory (initSubHeap:qk,travElemP:qkspmTravCreate) errors during the maintenance window. It seems to be trying to sql tune the same large query at least 3 times. Below is a snip-it from the trace file.  I found note 1541769.1 which says to set _optimizer_fast_pred_transitivity=false. I wanted to verify with anyone that this is what I should do. Or should I open an SR?
