Can we make a DFF segment READ ONLY

Hi,

We have a request to make one of the DFF segments in invoice workbench READ ONLY. This segment has no value set attached and based on business requirement, the field should not be editable. The field should be enabled and displayed but in READ ONLY mode. Can anyone suggest few ways to achieve it?

Read few notes in Metalink where you can make all DFF segments READ ONLY but not selected few. This will not work for us. Want to know if this can be acieved via form customization? or any functional setup wise?
