Description Only (Special Request) does not consolidate with other lines
Hi everyone,
I understand from the notes and PeopleBooks that description only items (special requests) do not consolidate with other lines/requisitions by design. My question is why the system was designed that way, what factors from the PeopleSoft system, buyers, or vendors lead to this being the best practice? I am not looking to change the way the system functions, just get a better grasp on the decision process. My best guess is because these are items that could take more time to research since they sometimes do not have item ids and therefore get put on their own PO's due to
