export hangs after 'exporting statistics' for oracle 10.2.x.x

Hi

exp with full=yes statistics=no options hangs after the message 'exporting statistics'

I would like to mention that this was a fresh install on a T2000 machine under solaris platform. Also, we have not enabled the statistics.

No 'Invalid' object after I used 'utlrp.sql'

There is one shadow process as child of the 'exp' command. If I kill the shadow process, export is completed without errors.

I need help to understand the reason as I want to execute the export as cron process.

Looking forward for suggestions
