UBE Version check in check out queries

Hi All,

I need some help. If I need to create a new version of a UBE by copying existing version (which has some data selections which are locked), would the following two methods have same impact:

1) Using FAT client, copy the existing version (using BV), add to an OMW project and check it in. Then on Web Client (access BV), unlock the data selection for this new version, change values as appropriate, lock the data selection again and save it. Then using FAT Client, access the OMW project (where the UBE version was added), and check out the version.
