Unique Item Description

Hi.

Is there any  option to check item description at create item and update item stages. I need to have no duplication of item description.

Is there any profile option for it? I have idea to use Post Item Create Business Event and Post Item Update Business Event, but i do not know what i have to put in cutom code to stop process of creating and process of updating item description is not unique.
