OTL Project Payroll Hours Explosions

Hi,

We need to generate over time in OTL using hours explosion functionality for project timecards. Since project timecard do not support hours explosion.

We are using Project Payroll Timecard to get the over time calculation by system.

Can someone please assist on what kind of layouts should we use?  is project payroll or Entry level processing timecard layout should be used?

or should we take exception layout which can be customized to use project tasks along with payroll elements, This approach is working but business does not want seeded oracle functionality.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
