GL Drilldown to another EBS instance using personalization

For companies who have multiple EBS instances and import Journal Entry detail to the GL of a primary EBS instance - I've recently written an article for the UK Oracle User Group magazine (Oracle Scene, Issue 52) that walks through how to import Journal Entries from a subsidiary EBS GL into the primary instance and still allow the drilldown functionality to the source/subsidiary subledger from that primary instance.

It involves including specific transaction identifiers in the Descriptive Flexfields of the imported JE Lines and a personalization to call the URL in the source system to obtain the normal drilldown one usually sees on subledger transactions from JEs within a single instance.  The same concept could be used to drill into transactions from any other system with additional information that may send JEs to EBS GL (eg payroll, legacy systems, etc) as long as there's  URL that can be formed to pull up the transaction.  This makes the close process and investigation into the external systems with further information
