Long time to for ocrcheck to complete, and poor disk asvc_t in iostat

On some nodes of some of my CRS clusters, I've discovered that ocrcheck takes a very long time to run -- from 30 - 60 minutes.  On the nodes with this problem I see very poor disk service times in iostat, but only for the ASM disks.  If I generate load on the same type of disks (EMC fiber-attached SAN disks) that are not in ASM, they perform well.  I am running Oracle RAC 11.2.03 on Solaris 10, x86.  Anyone want to guess what's going on?  Thanks...
