ASCP with Promised Date vs Need By Date

Hi Team,

We are evaluating the use of promised date and need by date for different purpose. The event should be as follows -

1: ASCP suggests planned orders and releases the planned order and Oracle purchasing creates the releases.

The profile option - MSC:Purchase Order Dock Date Calculation Preference = Promised Date

We noticed that the released are created and Need By Date is populated. But Promised Date is blank.

I guess this is expected behavior.

2: Now supplier accepts the date.

3: After few days Supplier comes back and says he cannot meet this date. This needs to be rescheduled out. Now planner opens ASCP workbench and updated the 'Implement Date'.
