R12 DTR: Repair order is creating 2 sales orders

Hi All,

We recently upgraded our instance from 11i to R 12.1.3, during month end (after Apr-30) we found issue as the return line which is received before Apr-30 closes both Lines & Header. Following are the details of this case.

Here is my observation.

·         Order Created on 23^rd April 2014

·         Order Line (RMA) received on 25^th April 2014.

·         Order Line was in Status “Closed” as on 25^th April 2014.

·         Since there is only one line with status “Closed” as of 30^th April 2014, Order Header Closed itself on 30^th April 2014 .

·         This is a standard functionality in Oracle both 11i and R12, This is due to the Standard Sales Order Header Workflow – Close Order Node, where it checks orders those are having all lines either closed or cancelled and close the header. This will be done only on every last day of a month.
