BI Publisher v 11.1.1.7.1 stand alone won't start

Currently , I am on Windows 7 64 bit . Downloaded BIPublisherTrialEdition.exe and successfully installed . Now I see 3 Icons on the desktop

1. Start BI Publisher

2. Stop BI Publisher

3. Sign in to BI Publisher

When I click on Start BI Publisher a Command prompt window opens up and closes immediately.  I even have my 11g database up and running but to no avail.

So i also navigated to the directory where the startBIP.bat is located. i.e. cd C:\Oracle\BIPublisherTrialEdition\bip\bin\startBIP.bat file and tried to manually start it but the command prompt window opened up again and closed immediately. Could you please suggest what the way forward is?
