Package build/deploy to workstation

Hi, i was wondering do i need to to uncheck server(s) checkbox in package assembly - package build location (pls see attached) ,  in order to the package available on workstation only ? 

NOrmally user would check the "client workstation" checkbox in package deployment target for the purpose stated above ...

btw, the checkin done in OWM is actually refering to an object where it is transfered to deployment server or enterprise server ?

pls advice...
