doubts on how to it works snapshot standby on Active DG

Hi all

We currently have Active DG envrionment and we want to test Compression features on this Reporting database, So we thought firstly to use Flashback with one garantee restore point created on the Active DG and then we saw this new feature snapshot standby

So my questions it would be:

1.- Is it possible to set up snapshot standby on Active DG? According to SR 443720.1 it looks yes, please confirm

2.- If i set Flashback with Garantee restore point on the Active DG environment, even the mrp process be down, do we still getting the redo log shipping from the primary without apply it, right? even the mrp process be down the active Dg still recieved the redo log shipping without applying t
