Intermittent clusterware hangs 11.1.0.7

We have a 2 node cluster that has been stable, that has recently started experiencing clusterware hanging issues.  Symptoms include receiving ORA-15032 errors in the database alert log and having many processes on the OS with crs_stat -t.  The only thing that will clear up the situation is to kill -9 the crsd.bin process and let it respawn.  Our NetOps recently added logon banners on the nodes that we thought was causing the issue.  We took those off and thought that it was OK, but it is happening again at weird times.  I have been assured that the /var/tmp/.oracle directory
