Can the eConfigurator modify more than 1 root level product at a time?

Hello,

We have implemented a very large product structure under a single hierarchy because users want to be able to modify all the products at once when they interface with a customer versus having to go into and out of the configurator repeatedly for each customizable product.

My question is can the eConfigurator modify more than one root level product at a single time? If not, what is the recommended approach in enabling users to modify multiple root level products at once or in a single configurator session?
