Issue Implementing Webcenter 11.1.1.8 A-Team Blog "Internationalize Webcenter Portal - Content Prese

We wanted to follow A-Team Blog on "Internationalize Webcenter Portal - Content Presenter"

to develop a Site level customization on Content Presenter. The sample project provided (CPNLSCustomizations.zip) in the blog works on Webcenter 11.1.1.6 but does not work on Webcenter 11.1.1.8. Even if Customizations are recreated using latest WebCenter Portal - Framework Design-Time (oracle.webcenter.common 11.1.1.8.0.140404.0207), we still get an error as attached in the text file. The basic error is

java.lang.NullPointerException

at oracle.webcenter.webcenterapp.internal.view.webapp.WebCenterShellPhaseListener.beforePhase(WebCenterShellPhaseListener.java:171)
