Service Work Orders - default cost code
Good morning, we are a company that provides facility services. We manage maintenance of facilities and the incorporated equipment. We are using Service work orders in JDE to track work requests and associated labor. We had a modification done to P90CD002 (we are currently on 9.0) to allow a technician to select an activity code (UDC) from which the appropriate cost code would be populated on the accounting tab. Because we are now looking to upgrade to Version 9.1, we need to either have this modification redone or consider alternatives.
We have an extensive cost code list as we provide many different services that we want to/need to track and searching that list (with all the object code combinations included) is daunting. But, at this point, I'm willing to rethink the whole process. What do other companies do? Does anyone else direct their work order costs to different cost codes?
