What are Best Practices for Repository Management?

Is there a limit or a constraint of any kind to the number or size of reports a user can keep in the Repository?  We seem to be hit with a variety of problems for some users but not all users when running some reports.  I can't help but wonder if there isn't some sort of resource issue that we are hitting.

A related question might be, what is a recommended practice for archiving reports that are stored in the Repository?
