Single Asset Disposal

Is there a way to stop a fixed asset from being disposed of twice?  We have had this happen several times, an asset is diposed using the single asset disposal and when we go to post it back to the asset it is there twice even though it was not entered twice for disposal.  We are using JD Edwards World v9.2.1.
