Compilation of Invalids at the time of application patch is taking excesive time and no result

We are try to apply a patch 16321448.B in Pre-Production instance and it is getting stuck during compilation of objects. Since yesterday it is stuck. We have to do the production migration activity on 10-May-14. This patch was applied in Development instance as well. And it took few minutes to apply and compile. Please suggest what may be the cause.
