Quantity Delivered greater than Quantity Ordered

Dear all,

i have 1 PO. PO was already half receive and i want to cancel above the rest. when i do the cancel, an error message occur "Error: Shipment #1 Distribution #1 Quantity delivered xxxx greater than quantity ordered xxxx.

is there a way to cancel this PO?

whether the receipt quantity can be greater than quantity ordering?
