Updating a table in production

Hi,

I have a question related to JDEDWARDS ENTERPRISE ONE.

My doubt is that if we update a table(F4211) by adding another index(with 3 keys) to this table and make this change in production environment then will it affect the business views and other applications using this same table?

Please post it your suggestions on this, it will be very helpful.
