The EPM registry setting nummaxdbconnections for HFM

For EPM 11.1.2.2 is there a dependency between "Num MaxDB connections" parameter  setting in EPM registry for HFM and "connection pool" parameter settings in Web Logic server (Home>Summary of Services >Summary of JDBC Data sources>EPMSystemRegistry>Connection Pool>Maximum Capacity ?

For eg if NumMaxDB connections is 120 , does the connection pool parameter for WebLogic server be set accordingly or they are independednt of eachother?
