How to remove bottom level dimension of PROD hierarchy?

Hello,

I have the following question:

We have a PROD hierarchy that looks like:

PROD

     WSE    

          WGR

               ABT

                    MAG       

                         TMG

Now we want to remove the bottom level dimesion WSE from hierarchy, because it should no longer be used. But how can I do this? If I remove WSE all other parent dimensions will be automatically removed too. Does it mean that I have to build up the hierarchy again without WSE. But what does happen to all the measures, rules and intersections, where PROD hierarchy and its dimensions is used?

I tried to build up the dimension for the PROD hierarchy completely new, but was not able to give them the same RPAS name (which is only used internally) they had before the removal of the dimensions in the PROD hierachy.
