Impact of Hostname, IP Number Change

I am running EM 12cR3 and have a question concerning the impact of changing the hostname and IP number of a monitored host.


I have a host running Oracle Linux 5.9 and it is monitored by my EM system. On the host is running the EM 12cR3 agent, a single instance 11.2.0.3. database and a database listener. Our Systems group wants to change the Host Name and IP number as part of a P2V move and I am concerned about this changes impact on EM. I would like to maintain the history of this host/database in EM if possible but could be convinced otherwise.
