Duplicate Tags

Hi

We are using Serial number as our Tag . So our FAASID is
tag number. We found duplicate Serial number in system. Since we are using
Serial number as our Tags so there are duplicate record for same tag though
Asset number (NUMB) is not same. System shows error message when I use same tag
number in P1702 but as soon as I enter the value in product family error goes
away. Any idea how we can avoid this situation? Having duplicate serial number
(Tag) may cause integrity issues.
