Is it possible to delete learners from learner certifications and learning paths?

The Learner Certification Completion and Renewal details against a learning certification need to be updated

However, because there are subscribers these cannot be changed

This error message is received....

You cannot update most fields in the "Learner Certification Completion and Renewal" section because learners have already subscribed. You can update the renewable and validity duration fields for renewable certifications.

Unsubscribing all learners doesn't allow the details to be changed

My client has asked if there is a way to delete the learners from the certification/path?
