Do Asset Management and Maintenance Management BU naming convention need to be the same?

Our Asset BUs and Maintenance Management BUs do not follow the same naming convention.  We are having trouble with the Run Preventive Maintenance (and Run Projection) run control not allowing us to use the search criteria for Asset selection.

There appears to be a bug in the way this search page functions.  It does not function in the way explicitly described in PeopleBooks.  Furthermore:  there is nothing stated in Peoplebooks that would lead one to conclude that the naming convention of Work Order business units must match the naming convention of Asset Business Units.
