Does the JDE Install process use the production UDC Tables?

My question is based on my research of files using the Data Item WR01 and the corresponding UDC table of 00/W1. I am setting up Plant and Equipment Maintenance System and would like to load 00/W1 with Equipment designations since the WR01 is passed from the Work Order to the G/L Detail when the parts are issued. The UDC table has all of the System Numbers (00, 01, 02, 03...) loaded and the F9701 is cross-referenced to the data item WR01 as well. The F9701 says it is used for ASI SAR Info Master File and it contains data in
