How do you combine reports?

I need to combine a report in Opportunity History with a report in Advanced Custom Objects.  How do I do this?  Do I need to create a report in each subject area and then combine them?  Do I use Union or Interesect?

We have two custom objects on our opportunity page that I need in the opportunity report.
