Rebuildable

I have associated a rebuildable child to an asset through the HTML pages it is not removing the serial number from Inventory.  I can see the child on the parent asset record both in Java and HTML and can also see the parent on the child asset from in Java.   Consequently when I do a work order to replace a rebuildable the replacement is not issued from inventory and a work order for the replaced serial number is not created.

I have not idea why this is not working.

Any help would be appreciated.
