New/Updated cascading picklist value not reflecting

Hi,

There is an existing cascading pickist whereby NEW values doesn't show-up even after 24 hrs i.e. ETL refresh. Moreover, new values added or removed or modified also doesn't show-up anymore i.e. It gets reverted or starts reflecting old values itself. (Navigation: Application Customization > Object > Object's Cascading Picklist).

Is is possible? As client reported the same that they've lost the changes done & now have to redo. At first I thought, they might not have clicked on Finished after 3rd step of Confirm however the modified date also seems to be the latest one i.e. when these changes were made. Also, I tried checking the layout where no change is made & still all 3 fields used in Cascading picklist are reflecting as usual.
