1099's for 8.12

We operate on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 8.12. We've been informed that we will not be supported for 1099 upgrades for year end this year and to be supported we would have to be on version 9 or higher. Will we be able to process our 1099's this year without upgrading? If not, how can we process our 1099's?
