database restore after change backup location

We are using database version 11.2.0.3

I have a question. We use rman backup. In the previous backups I have registered the database and backup location in the catalog to have all datafiles and controlfiles and archive log files to backup in the same location. Later on, I decided to change the backup location to make datafile backup in one location and controfile and archive log file in another location. So, I went ahead and change the location in the configuration and sync with the catalog. So, my question is, with the new location in place, will rman know to restore the database from the old
