Total sessions for a 10g database is 0 in EM12c

In EM12c version 12.1.0.3, on a 10g database home page, the Total sessions count in the Summary Status region is always 0, as is the Load.  For 11g databases, the expected values are shown.  Why does this not work for 10g databases?
