CPU patching question on EBS R12.1.3

Hi,

We have EBS R12.1.3, and trying to apply CPU patches  (CPUapr2014).  Got through lots of documentation and finished patching the following to our test environment:

EBS patch (CPUapr2014 is the same as CPUjan2014).

DB tier (fixing problems with conflicting patch, etc).

Our JRE plug-in just went to the all user community's desktops very recently with JRE 1.6.0_71 and is working fine.  For some compatibility issues with old applications we are not going with java7 for now.

My question comes to the JAVA portion for CPU patching  (internal part of EBS technology stack) for the security patching.

When I check the CPU advisory documents, it's keep coming to JDK 1.6.0_75.   Can I install/update JDK 1.6.0_75 on APPS tier as well as  JDK 1.6.0_75 on DB tier, while client JRE version stays at 1.6.0_71?
