Adding parties to Repository Contracts

We'd like to know if there is a way to Add Parties to a Repository Contract after it has been approved.  In our business sceanrios, we have parties added to Contracts on a regular basis.  We are aware of the recommendation to copy an existing contract and add new parties, but are wondering if there is an easier way without having to go through approval each time a party is added.  If anybody knows of a customization we could employ to work around this functionality, that would be great as well.
