how to change sys password for asm in RAC

Hi,

We are running oracle standard edition on RAC  version 11.1.7 and we want to change the sys password for asm instance. My question is do we have to shutdown all the instances running on both nodes before changing the sys password using orapwd utility or we can do it node by node , no need to bring everything down. I mean , procedure to change sys password for asm in 11.1.7
