changing the sys password

Hi,

We have two node RAC(11.2.0.3) on Windows 2008R2 as Primary database. Also we have two node RAC(11.2.0.3) on Windows 2008R2 as Standby databases using Dataguard. Now redo shipping happening from Primary to Standby. However I am not able to connect the user 'SYS' using the password. I want to change the password and how can I proceed.

Changing 'SYS' password should not affect the existing redo shipping. Please suggest the steps to proceed.
