We are using Solaris 10 and I want to start the Oracle GUI so that I can do install. For that I need to first make xclock working. I had some old document that was for AIX and I'm following that but its not working. This is what I'm doing from my id. Please note that # below doesn't mean that I'm root.

oracle@srv-dbdev01#vncserver :7

You will require a password to access your desktops.

Password:
Verify:
xauth:  creating new authority file /home/oracle/.Xauthority

New 'srv-dbdev01:7 (oracle)' desktop is srv-dbdev01:7

Creating default startup script /home/oracle/.vnc/xstartup
Starting applications specified in /home/oracle/.vnc/xstartup

Howdy, Stranger!
