Hello,

Below is update from unix team. Please share your suggestions on this.

after a discussion between ITS-Unix and SET-Unix we would like to make the following recommendations to improve the stability and availability of the Oracle GRID clusters in AMDC.

Production Oracle GRID cluster:

removing tiebreaker disks from the GPFS configuration and only keep the quorum node configuration which will reduce the failure detection time

only AMDC-ORAGRID-UX02 is using virtual FC adapters (NPIV) for the GPFS disks. The other three GRID nodes are still using vSCSI adapters and there the persistant reserve option is not possible.

migrating the nodes AMDC-ORAGRID-UX01/3/4 to other Managed Systems in different pod's and using virtual FC adapters (NPIV) with persistant-reserve option enabled. How long will it take to change the pods. Does it require down time.

Howdy, Stranger!
