Hello,

Please give some more insight into how disk and network heartbeat works. If the data disks are pinged or just voting or ocr is pinged for disk heartbeat. Also ,are there keep alive packets which are sent for n/w heartbeat? Is this multicast packets or broadcast packets?

If multicast packets would they go through private vip to only rest of the nodes in rac cluster or the whole subnet of private interface?Which protocol would be used for disk and network heartbeat. Also we see tcp keep alive packets timeout on rac nodes -- I checked using netstat -p tcp .Can this lead to node evictipn sometime if time out exceeds 30 seconds wihch I believe is the time for cluster to reconfigure

Howdy, Stranger!
