Borrowed/Lent and Cross-Charging

in Projects - EBS (MOSC) Question

I've been working with Projects for awhile but I've never done anything with Borrowed/Lent or Cross-Charging. I am working on a project now that will have 2 legal entities (balancing segments) enabled within the same operating unit, and people from both will be charging projects.


I've done some reading on the Borrowed/Lent and Cross-Charging functionality, but I'm having a hard time following it. In a test environment I created labor for 2 people charging to a project: 1 who belongs to the LE who owns the project, and 1 who belongs to another one. All time costed correctly with the existing Auto-Accounting rules. When I ran Create Accounting, journal entries were created during that process, and included on the JE were lines that auto-balanced the journal entries with different balancing segments.
