Maturity Date for Payment

Hi

After upgrade to R12 from 11i; my customer is facing an issue.

Many Payments are not getting accounted as Future Date account is not provided;

Our question is when payment method used in the payment is not bills payable enabled; how can user enter maturity date and make bills payable (future dated) payment.
