Unable to open siebel tools and thick client at the same time - 8.1.1.11

I have installed Siebel 8.1.1.11

I am unable to open tools and thick client (sample db), at the same time.

I get the below error when I open client from shortcut  while tools has been kept opened and vice versa

I see the below errors in the client log file.

SBL-DAT-00522: A Siebel local database error has occurred. Possibly the database name is invalid.

Please continue or ask your systems administrator to check your application configuration if the problem persists.
