Watershed Algorithm in AIP

Good morning All,

Does anybody have any information on Oracle's "watershed algorithm" in AIP. It is mentioned several times throughout the user guide in processes like "Allocation" and "Shortfall reconciliation" but I am unable to find any details about it outside of these.

Any information would be much appreciated.
