Lease line showing wrong date on authorize form

Client has created a lease on 15-Jan-13 to 31-Dec-13. As per them, first rental date should be 15-Jan-13 but authorize window is showing 01-Jan-13 as the transaction date.

Is it a standard functionality or some buggy behavior of application.
