insite contraints

How can I put constraints on below insite tags:

  1. insite:edit field='title'  - How to put a constraint so that it allows max 40 chars? I was able to do this in form mode by creating and associating an attribute editor to the title attribute string.
  2. insite:slotlist - How to put a constraint so that there is a max limit to add upto 5 modules?
